Marijn Companjen (Manny)

​

Marijn Companjen (Manny) studied music at the Conservatory of Enschede in The Netherlands as well as Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada where he obtained a B.A. in Performance in classical guitar and a Bachelor of Music Education. Manny is a licencedK12 teacher, Registered Music Teacher with The Royal Conservatory as well as the Newfoundland and Labrador's Music Teachers Association.

Manny toured and accompanied classes throughout Holland, Belgium and Germany in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Since 2005 Manny has continued performing in Atlantic Canada and has extensive teaching experience. A member of Isla Son Latin Ensemble, he also performs as a soloist and in various group settings featuring music genres such as Classical, Flamenco, Cuban, Jazz and Rock. ​
